About Ed Falco
Ed Falco was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He spent his early twenties, after graduating from SUNY New Paltz, working with racehorses, first as a groom at Ben White Raceway in Florida and later at Roosevelt Raceway and Yonkers Raceway in New York. Following a brief stint training horses at Monticello Raceway in the Catskills, he returned to school for a graduate degree in English from Syracuse University, where he stayed on to work for a few years as an adjunct instructor at Syracuse, LeMoyne College, and Onondaga Community College, before moving to Blacksburg, Virginia, where he taught in the MFA Program in Creative Writing, serving a term as the director of the program, until his retirement in 2024. Currently he lives in Blacksburg with his wife, Judy Bauer. When he's not digging in his garden or playing chess online, he continues working on poems, stories, novels, and plays.
